empty peg at office max

There was a vacant peg where Helix mechanical pencils used to be...but I'm not sure about that. This peg was next to about three other pegs that held different mechanical pens. It seems there is some sort of offices that oversee all the sales of every office max retail store in the nation. I should've thought more about how these offices are organized. Then there is a part of this, and I don't know what this is and how its organized, that considers the sales of the entire nation and buys products for these retail stores based on this computer data. I guess this part sees no reason to buy another pack of a variety of helix products when there are three other kinds of mechanical pens in stock. Some part of the system of the retail chain knows from the computer data that consumers will settle for some other kind of mechanical pen I guess. Now I still don't know in what ways this part of office max can buy from Helix. The retail store knows how diverse a selection consumers will settle for...actually I don't know how flexible or diverse a group of customers they can afford to appeal to. I don't know how Helix would think of what to get unless they knew somehow from the end retailer what sells at what rate.

wait...I'm not sure if they sold out, or if there was an unintentional delay in providing the retail store with the product. I should've made sure. But I don't know what the information that would give me an answer would look like and if I would get to see this info. Specifically, I don't know what the records of sales and purchases and the processes that present these look like.
