woops

This was on the front brake. It's nice this was kinda fail-safe, hearing a snap with a hard stop one night. The braking after that didn't feel different enough to make me notice and ride differently at the time until after that ride. That's two strands, of the ~ 15 of that cable, left intact.

I don't know what happened here. It may have had to do with that time I didn't really know how to hold both fastenings and tools in place and clamp the cable well. I used locking pliers to hold the saddle in place, making that wheel a bit coarser. That, and clamping the cable on a certain side of the bracket, may have slowly sawed the cable? Maybe the cable was just corroding, I dunno.
